Exploring Medicine Terms of use agreement:
Upon payment of appropriate fees, you (the “user”) will be given access to selected modules providing
you agree to the terms of use agreement herein.
Scope of Use:
The information, illustrations, images, and videos that make up each of the modules is the property of
Exploring Medicine, and its parent corporation, JTACS. You are being granted sole access to this material
for 12 months and this access is not to be shared with others and others are not allowed, under this
agreement, to access this material under your user identification. Any copying, transmission,
redistribution, or external storage of any of the Exploring Medicine materials is an infringement of
copyright and a violation of this user agreement and is unlawful, making the user subject to prosecution
under appropriate laws. By signing this agreement, you agree with this condition. You alone will have
access to authenticated Certificates of Completion upon successfully passing the quiz for each module.
Privacy Policy:
Personal information collected at the time of purchase of Exploring Medicine modules will not be given,
by Exploring Medicine or its representatives, to any third party vendor. Users may, from time to time, be
made aware of new products offered through the Exploring Medicine website.
Copyright, Ownership, and HIPAA Compliance:
Exploring Medicine prides itself on providing experiential learning. In doing so, we bring
students to the bedside virtually via recorded patient encounters and the use of various images
related to these encounters: e.g. x-rays, ECGs, CT scans, and more. All of this media is in
compliance of the federal Health Information Privacy and Portability Act (HIPAA) and
individual patients have given permission to educators at Exploring Medicine to use their images
for educational purposes. Copying video and any other media from the Exploring Medicine
website or from in-class presentations is not only a violation of this Exploring Medicine
confidentiality agreement, but a violation of HIPAA and copyright laws. Violators of this
agreement risk monetary and legal penalties under these laws and potential of loss of ability to
practice in the field of medicine.

I agree that I will not copy images, video, or other media from the Exploring Medicine website
and will not share my access to this material with others. I understand that the use of this
material is only for my use and for purposes of learning about the medical field through
“Exploring Medicine.”
Disclaimer:
The Exploring Medicine modules are designed to be used for educational purposes. All users will learn
about the diagnosis and treatment of disease of patients, and pre-medical users will, in addition, fulfill
science competencies in preparation for applying to medical school. The information in all of the
Exploring Medicine modules is felt to be entirely accurate. As information and therapies change in
medicine, it is up to the user to obtain the most up to date information when actually caring for patients.
Term of Agreement:
Users of the Exploring Medicine modules will have access to purchased modules for a term of 12 months.
